In our previous blog post, we discussed an interesting AI image generator tool, Midjourney. This is part 2 of the previous blog and talks about another similar AI tool known as DALL-E2.

DALL-E2 is another AI system from OpenAI that can create realistic images and art from a description in natural language. Even though OpenAI is well-known for its AI tool, chatGPT, it introduced DALL-E in January 2021 and one year later launched, DALL-E2, which generates more realistic and accurate images with 4x greater resolution.
As it is a trained neural network that can create original, realistic images and art from text captions for a wide range of concepts by combining concepts, attributes, and styles. It is a 12-billion parameter version of GPT-3 trained to generate images from text descriptions, using a dataset of text–image pairs. We’ve found that it has a diverse set of capabilities, including creating anthropomorphized versions of animals and objects, combining unrelated concepts in plausible ways, rendering text, and applying transformations to existing images.
